Hi, I belong to your group (very happy to) and I have a question for you.

I'm retiring my Nikon COOLPIX S570 and working my way up to a more professional camera.

I'm very interested in the Nikon D5000 and in my journal I asked photographers what they thought of the Nikon D5000 and what cameras have served them well.

Over all, people suggested that I get a Canon. One person said they even worked with a Nikon D5000 in art class and purchased a Canon as their personal camera b/c they didn't like the Nikon.

I'd like to know your views on this, what type of Nikon you have now and the good qualities of buying a Nikon.

Also, I was going to buy my lenses from NIKKOR, in your work what would you recommend?

I'm ready for a professional camera and want to buy one this weekend, I'd appreciate your views on the Nikon, ty!

hay dude. long time no chat.
I have been rather busy with my coarse so been barely able to maintain my own account. Anyhow Its coming up to summer now and I was wondering if you had put much more thought into the devmeet?
I have block leave in mid August so would be good to do a weekend then in London or Paris. Let me know what you think and I will get to work letting the masses know and organising the event a little better.
